Functional Anatomy of Non-locomotory Muscles (2004)

Copyright Primal Pictures Ltd.

The development of functional anatomy models for non-locomotory muscles was based on the Muscle Action Simulation Model. The function of the abdominal muscles, pelvic floor muscles, facial muscles, respiration muscles, etc was researched and simulated. The results were incorporated in the "Interactive Functional Anatomy" 2nd ed. DVD title published by Primal Pictures.

This work was part of the "Algorithmic Human Anatomy" project, partially funded by a SMART Exceptional Award from the London Development Agency, UK.
Implementation was based on Houdini 3D software with VEX, Hscript and OTL scripting.
Vassili acted as chief investigator and coordinator.
